Aloha & Welcome!
I initially realized my passion for photography while attending Los Gatos High School in the Bay Area, and that passion led me to continue my studies at CSU Long Beach, where I received a BA in Studio Art (emphasis in Photography) and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship. During and after college, I worked with two amazing Los Angeles & Orange County based photographers. I am so thankful for their guidance and training, as it has helped shape me into the photographer that I am today. I have been a wedding & portrait photographer for 10 years, and I can't imagine a more rewarding career for myself! I moved to Maui in October 2012, and absolutely love calling this magical island my new home.
I love photographing and meeting new people! Connecting with my clients and capturing photos of them during such a memorable vacation is a job that I am extremely privileged to have...and I don't take my job lightly! A lot of love, sweat, and tears are put into editing each of my wonderful clients' portrait sessions, and for this reason, I accept only a limited number of sessions per month. This allows me to offer the highest quality work to each and every one of my clients.
I would describe my posing style as timeless, fun, romantic, and happy and I would describe my work style as easy-going and friendly, but also direct and attentive. Making my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera is very important to me, so while capturing the more posed photos during the session, I give plenty of direction and guidance, but also step back and allow for those fun candid moments & more "posed-candid" moments throughout the session as well. I find the look and feel of natural & available light to be the most flattering and beautiful, so I only use a flash when capturing a few sunset photos at the end of your evening/sunset session :) I love working with clients who share a love of photography and who are up for anything that might be new and/or different!
Mahalo and I look forward to hearing from you! :)
Thank you so much!
